Over the past 18 years Andreas Breitfuss has forged a distinguished career in the hospitality industry which has seen him work from Europe through to the highest levels of achievement in Australia.  His skills and expertise has allowed him to become well renowned throughout Australia as one of the leading achievers of the industry.

Trained at one of the World’s finest Hotel Management Schools Andreas has acquired both Swiss and Australian Hotel Management qualifications. Along side of this, Andreas has also completed several programmes overseen by the internationally recognised Cornell University in the United States of America.

From early on in his career Andreas controlled some of the Australia’s largest Food and Beverage operations to include such leisure resorts as Thredbo Ski Resort. Whilst at Thredbo Andreas was an integral part in the development of the food and beverage department through expansion developments and venue refurbishments of all the bars and restaurants. His role also included sales and marketing, restaurant training, financial planning and budgeting.

Andreas worked with Australia's largest wholly owned hotel group Rydges Hotels and Resorts for several years which allowed him to take on responsibilities in Far North Australia. Andreas formed a primary role in the opening of the Rydges Southbank Hotel, Brisbane, and the Allamanda Resort, Palm Cove. His responsibility included the establishment of the Food and Beverage departments from concept design to guest relations.

In 1997, Andreas headed up a small boutique Hotel Group, Manor Hotels Australia and whilst in this position Andreas directed one of the hotels to winning over 8 regional, state and national hospitality awards. His marketing expertise proved to be exceptional as the Perisher Manor was awarded one of Australia’s top industry awards as the ‘Best Marketed Hotel’ in Australia for 1999 and 2000 at the Australian Hotels Association National Awards of Excellence. Andreas now is the Managing Director for his Hospitality Consulting company in Australia, with offices located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.

Andreas has also been recognised for his outstanding individual commitment to the hospitality industry by his industry peers, through winning several regional, state and national achievement awards. Those accolades include being recognised in 1999 where Andreas was awarded the highest accolade possible for a person of his age by winning the NSW Tourism Award for Contribution to Tourism by a Young Achiever. Earlier in his career Andreas was awarded an outstanding achievement award at the Young Australian of the Year Awards for career advancement.

Andreas’ skills do not end there; he has been in control of over 20 food and beverage establishments over the last 10 years and has project managed over 12 major food and beverage re-developments and hotel openings. Andreas has managed to operate and grow some of the most profitable hospitality businesses in Australia.
